Understanding Physical Presence for Canadian Citizenship
To qualify for Canadian citizenship, most applicants must show they have been physically present in Canada for at least 1,095 days in the five years before they apply. Some days spent in Canada before becoming a permanent resident may count as half days, subject to limits.
PathwayAI.ca does not replace official calculators, but it does:
- Capture your approximate days in Canada over the past five years
- Ask whether any of those days were before you obtained PR
- Generate a simple note indicating whether you appear to be below or at/above the typical 1,095 day benchmark
You still need to use official tools and your complete travel history when you are ready to apply.
